Travel Planning FAQs
Planning a meaningful journey comes with questions. Here are answers to the most common ones — and if you don’t see yours, I’m always happy to help.
Why should I use a travel consultant instead of booking on my own?
You gain expert guidance, vetted partners, exclusive perks when available, advocacy if issues arise, and time back — without added stress or guesswork.
How does the planning process begin?
It begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss your ideas, travel style, timeline, and budget considerations to determine the best path forward. From there, I create a personalized proposal tailored to your goals.
Do I need to know exactly where I want to go?
Not at all. Many clients begin with a feeling — a milestone, a season, or a travel style. I help narrow destinations and guide the decision process so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
How far in advance should I start planning?
For international or multi-stop itineraries, 6–12 months in advance is ideal.
For domestic travel, 3–6 months is often sufficient.
Retreat planning typically begins 9–18 months in advance.
Who do you work best with?
I work best with travelers and retreat leaders who value thoughtful planning, personalized guidance, and a well-supported experience. If you’re looking for the lowest price with no added service, booking independently may be the better option.
Do you plan family vacations or group trips?
Yes, I design unforgettable family vacations and small-group getaways that balance adventure with ease. From multi-generational trips to private villas and unique cultural experiences, every itinerary is tailored to your family’s travel style and comfort level. Whether you’re exploring national parks or escaping to an island paradise, I ensure every detail, from flights to activities, is handled seamlessly.
Can you accommodate special requests or needs?
Absolutely. Dietary needs, mobility considerations, special celebrations — just let me know.
Can you help if I’ve already booked part of my trip?
Sometimes. Depending on what’s already booked, I can often step in to assist with the remaining details or offer consultation-only support.
Do you only plan international travel?
No, I design both domestic U.S. and international experiences, with a focus on unique stays and local culture.
Do you book cruises?
Absolutely! I partner exclusively with high-end cruise lines such as Celebrity, Princess, and Silversea to curate luxury voyages that combine comfort, exploration, and impeccable service. Whether it’s an Alaskan adventure, a Mediterranean sailing, or a wellness-focused retreat at sea, I personalize every cruise experience, ensuring your journey feels both exclusive and effortless.
